Takeshi’s Castle - The original show involved about 142 contestants who General Tani effectively tested and challenged, eliminating some and keeping others by putting them through a series of silly yet challenging games.
Each show finished with a Final Showdown where Count Takeshi was faced by the remaining contestants. If they hit the paper ring on his cart with their water gun and the paper broke, (or in later episodes, the laser hitting a sensor that deactivated his cart), the castle was taken and the game “won”. The player who shot down Takeshi-san won one million yen.
I still remember few years ago, one of our local tv had broadcast the show. I miss the show now, as I was enjoying the idea of those games, and seeing the contestant trried their ‘Luck’
