The F-22 Raptor is the latest and greatest fighter in the US Air Force inventory. They are still doing the full test and evaluation, and the F-22 is impressive, to say the least. There were two Raptors at the show, with one flying in the show. The weather at Point Mugu was conducive to the awesome vapor formations that are seen in the shots below.

The F-22A is a critical component of the US Global Strike Task Force. It is designed to project air dominance, rapidly and at great distances. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the prime contractor and is responsible for the majority of the airframe, weapon systems and final assembly of the F-22.
